Simple Minded Symphony premiered “Overcast” music video on Megawednesday on Twitch

Simple Minded Symphony released their sophomore album Simple Minded Symphony on Tuesday, August 22. On the week of August 14, the band premiered a new music video for each single on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. On Wednesday, "Overcast" is premiered on Twitch on Wednesday August 16.

The music video for "Overcast" features puppetry, special effects, and amazing costumes.
In the music video, the kingdom's court jester goes missing and the member's of the king's court are sent out to find him. The king's court are played by the different members of Simple Minded Symphony. While on their journey they met the Mage named Reginald in the forest, who is looking for the flesh of a mortal to complete a spell in progress.

Overcast is about the moments you are trapped in your head. When you can’t seem to find your way out of a cave. It’s about when your thoughts are so loud and terrible it leaves you quiet. It leaves you numb. Overcast is not about the battle with your demons - it’s about how it feels to endure a wound from them.
— Kevin Silveira, vocals/bass, he/him

The storyline and puppetry was created by vocalist/bassist, Kevin Silveira. The video has elements of fantasy that evokes nostalgia for Jim Henson's Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal, as well as The Neverending Story, Ferngully, The Princess Bride, and Gremlins

Simple Minded Symphony will be available on all streaming platforms Tuesday, August 22. Vinyl, cd, and cassette pre-orders are now available at Ska Punk International. On Wednesday, August 16, the band is premiering a 10 minute music video for their song "Overcast" on Megawednesday hosted by Mega Infinity on Twitch.
