Simple Minded Symphony premiered “Overcast” music video on Megawednesday on Twitch
Simple Minded Symphony released their sophomore album Simple Minded Symphony on Tuesday, August 22. On the week of August 14, the band premiered a new music video for each single on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. On Wednesday, "Overcast" is premiered on Twitch on Wednesday August 16.
The music video for "Overcast" features puppetry, special effects, and amazing costumes.
In the music video, the kingdom's court jester goes missing and the member's of the king's court are sent out to find him. The king's court are played by the different members of Simple Minded Symphony. While on their journey they met the Mage named Reginald in the forest, who is looking for the flesh of a mortal to complete a spell in progress.
The storyline and puppetry was created by vocalist/bassist, Kevin Silveira. The video has elements of fantasy that evokes nostalgia for Jim Henson's Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal, as well as The Neverending Story, Ferngully, The Princess Bride, and Gremlins.
Simple Minded Symphony will be available on all streaming platforms Tuesday, August 22. Vinyl, cd, and cassette pre-orders are now available at Ska Punk International. On Wednesday, August 16, the band is premiering a 10 minute music video for their song "Overcast" on Megawednesday hosted by Mega Infinity on Twitch. Following the livestream, the video will be available on Ska Punk International's Youtube.
